BuddyFinder Privacy Policy & Terms of Use

1. Introduction & Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the BuddyFinder mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by this Privacy Policy and Terms of Use ("Agreement"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.

CRITICAL DISCLAIMER: BuddyFinder is a platform solely for connecting users based on shared interests. We do not screen, background check, or verify the criminal history of any user. You agree that your interactions with other users are solely at your own risk.

2. No Liability for User Interactions & Offline Meetings

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BUDDYFINDER AND ITS DEVELOPERS, OWNERS, AND AFFILIATES DISCLAIM ALL LIABILITY FOR ANY DAMAGES, LOSSES, INJURIES, DEATH, THEFT, HARASSMENT, OR EMOTIONAL DISTRESS ARISING FROM:

• (a) Use of the App;

• (b) Interactions, communications, or meetings with other users, whether online or in-person;

• (c) The conduct of any user, including but not limited to offensive, defamatory, violent, or illegal conduct.

You acknowledge that BuddyFinder serves only as an introductory service. We have no control over users' actions offline. You are solely responsible for taking necessary safety precautions (e.g., meeting in public places, telling a friend, verifying identity) when meeting someone from the App.

3. Data Collection & Privacy

We collect the following information to provide our services:

• Identity Data: Name, age, gender, and photos you upload.

• Contact Data: Email address (for authentication).

• Location Data: City and Country (only if permission is granted) to show relevant matches.

• Usage Data: Chat messages, likes, and gifts sent within the App.

We use Google Firebase (Firestore, Auth, Storage, Messaging) as our backend service provider. Your data is processed and stored securely on Google Cloud servers.Interactions are encrypted in transit (HTTPS).

4. User Conduct & Zero Tolerance Policy

We have a zero-tolerance policy for objectionable content and abusive behavior. You agree NOT to:

• Use the App for any illegal purpose (prostitution, drug sales, human trafficking, scams).

• Harass, bully, stalk, intimidate, or threaten any user.

• Post content that is pornographic, violent, hate speech, or promotes illegal acts.

• Create fake profiles or impersonate others (Catfishing).

• Solicit money or financial information from other users.

Violation Consequences: We reserve the right to ban, block, or delete any account immediately and without warning if we suspect a violation of these terms. We may cooperate with law enforcement authorities if criminal activity is suspected.

5. User Generated Content (UGC)

Interactions (Chats, Photos) are generated by users. While we strive to monitor reports, we do not pre-screen all content. You access UGC at your own risk. You can report objectionable content or abusive users via the "Report" button in the App, and we will investigate within 24 hours.

6. In-App Purchases & Gifts

Interactions involving virtual items ("Gifts") are final. Coins purchased have no monetary value outside the App and cannot be refunded or exchanged for cash, except as required by applicable law.

7. Account Deletion

You have the right to delete your account and data at any time via the "Delete Account" button in the Profile settings. Upon deletion, your personal data is permanently removed from our active databases.

8. Governing Law

This Agreement is governed by the laws of Türkiye, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.

9. No Warranty of Security & Disclaimer for Data Breaches

While we take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect user data, no system is 100% secure. By using the App, you acknowledge and agree that:

• BuddyFinder cannot guarantee the absolute security of your data.

• We are not liable for any unauthorized access, hacking, data breaches, leaks, interception, or destruction of data caused by third parties, cyber-attacks, viruses, malware, or any security incidents beyond our reasonable control.

• We do not warrant that the App will be free from vulnerabilities, harmful components, or exploitation attempts by malicious actors.

• You agree that any loss, theft, alteration, or exposure of your data due to cyber-attacks or third-party breaches is not the responsibility of BuddyFinder or its developers.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, you expressly release BuddyFinder and its developers from any claims arising from:

(a) hacked accounts;
(b) stolen data or unauthorized access to your information;
(c) threats, extortion, harassment, or misuse of leaked information by third parties;
(d) security incidents affecting our cloud providers, internet services, or external integrations.

If a data breach is detected, we will take reasonable steps to investigate and mitigate the incident, but we do not guarantee recovery of data or prevention of further breaches.
